“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” — Isaiah 40:31, KJV
Waiting on the Lord is not the same as pretending we are never tired. It is bringing our real weakness to the One whose strength does not run out. A mother may not receive energy for every imagined task at once. Often God gives grace for the next faithful step: make the call, prepare the meal, take the medicine, ask for help, sit down, or pray. Kingdom work today does not have to look impressive. It can look like trusting God enough to stop performing strength we do not have.
One kingdom-work step today
Choose one necessary task, one request for help, and one period of real rest. Put the rest of the list away until those three things are addressed.
A prayer for moms
Lord, I bring You my tired mind and body. Renew my strength in the way You know I need. Keep me from racing ahead of Your grace or measuring faithfulness by exhaustion. Show me the next step, the help I should receive, and the work I can release. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Carry this with you: You do not need strength for every future task today—only grace for the next faithful step.
