“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22–23, KJV

A hard yesterday does not get to claim every moment of today. God’s mercy does not pretend our mistakes did not matter. His compassion meets us with enough grace to confess what was wrong, repair what we can, and choose the next faithful response. Motherhood is kingdom work even when the kingdom work begins with a humble apology.

One kingdom-work step today

Choose one small repair: apologize without excuses, redo one hurried instruction with gentleness, or ask for the help that could keep the same pressure from spilling over again.

A prayer for moms

Lord, thank You that Your compassion does not run out. Show me where I need to repair, give me humility to begin, and help me receive today’s mercy instead of living inside yesterday’s shame. Let my next words bring truth, gentleness, and peace to my home. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Carry this with you: New mercy gives you a truthful beginning, not a pretend one.
