“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10, KJV
Stillness is not always silence, an empty house, or an hour alone. For a mother, it may be one breath before answering, one minute in the parked car, or one honest prayer while the water runs. The purpose is not to perform calm. It is to remember that God is God before we rush to carry what belongs in His hands.
One kingdom-work step today
Pause for sixty seconds. Put both feet on the floor, name one burden you cannot control, and say, “God, You are God, and I am trusting You with this.” Then choose the next faithful action instead of trying to solve the entire day.
A prayer for moms
Lord, quiet the fear and hurry in me long enough to remember who You are. Give me wisdom for what is mine to do, humility to release what is not, and grace for the people in front of me. Be present in the noise, the work, and the pause. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Carry this with you: I can pause because God is still God.
